Judy &amp; I use Qwest's DSL service, which has been fine, <em>except</em> for those days when their Soviet-era DNS servers decide to take a nap. <div><br /></div><div>Then we retain full connectivity for any services that are already connected, but God help us if we want to open a new page. That was the situation this morning. Luckily, I had saved off the instructions for setting up our router to use the <a href="https://www.opendns.com/start">free and open DNS servers</a> at <a href="http://opendns.com">OpenDNS.com</a>. </div><div><br /></div><div>A few minutes later, we've got reliable, fast page load times plus a batch of goodies like DNS query stats and anti-phishing filters.
